I take a breath.
I focus on my dream. 
Today, I take a step forward. 

How often do you wake up in the morning and then immediately leave the house, start your day and do a million things. Or at least it feels like you do a million things. But then at the end of the day you still feel like nothing was done?

If this sounds familiar, there’s something I’d like you to try.

This will feel counterintuitive, but I highly recommend that you try it anyway.

Start your day with a check-in

Before you start your day, take at least a few minutes of your morning to simply stop, clear your mind, and check in with yourself. Get comfortable somewhere and sit. Close your eyes and take a breath. I mean take a really slow, deep breath. Then take another. Focus on your deep breaths. Release the anxiety that has built up inside you.

I know I spoke about this two weeks ago, but I think we really need to check in with ourselves and become in “Alignment” with our inner selves. The world seems a bit on edge lately and if you let it, you too will climb down this rabbit hole and become consumed with anxiety, doubt, and frustration.

Remember, you are the director of your own movie

While you are checking in with yourself, focus on “your movie.” Ask yourself… What exactly do I want? What does it feel like? What is one thing I can focus on today to move me closer to this vision?

Meanwhile, keep breathing slowly. Feel your heart beating. See yourself sitting on the sand and listening to the ocean waves. Feel the sun rays warming your soul.

Align yourself with this feeling

Slow down your breaths. Focus on the actions that will breathe life into your vision, and the actions that will bring you joy and fulfillment. The rest is a distraction.

Feed your soul in the morning with clarity and the beauty in life—and then begin the day!
